Our pit stop: Top Shop
A cafe situated at the basement in Topshop.
Both of us took a break here from all the walking before we proceed raiding the store.

Shall end this post with my favourite loot of the trip.

Zurich Holiday Pictures 2008

I know these pictures are way overdue(taken in Jan and now it's already Nov).
Partly because i have been a lazy girl and
the thoughts of picking nice ones out of 500 pictures and
uploading them on photobucket just simply puts me off.
Anyway, there was a sudden mojo to blog and finally get my act on it.
So here it goes...

Switzerland - One of the richest countries in the world.

Crew usually labeled Zurich as a boring place and a station they wish they'd never get.
But i would like to think otherwise. The first time i set foot in this country, i just want to go back for the second time.
I love how peaceful it is, even though it's the largest city in Switzerland.
I love the way i feel safe walking on the street, be it in the day or night.
People are just friendly and definitely not racist.

We arrived Zurich in the morning, took a nap and head out to our first stop of the day.

Guess what i saw?

Naked Swiss People

Uetliberg Bahn, a mountain railway brings you to a lookout tower where you'll enjoy different alps in the canton.

That's the lookout tower! It was tough climbing up because i was struggling to keep my balance due to the strong winds and at the same time, my fear of heights is slowing me down to get to the top.

Bird Eye view

No editing! This is exactly how it looks like.
My favourite picture!

Feeling famished after the climb, we settled for Marche. I eat Rosti, a potato dish, everyday!

2nd Day

Arosa
the day i touched SNOW  and SKI for the first time.

All the kids looked ADORABLE when clad in their winter gears.

Our Ski gears.

3rd Day
Pilatus
We signed up for Mount Titlis tour but the tour was canceled when we arrived at the bus terminal due to bad weather.
So the tour guide suggested to take Pilatus tour as the price is the same as Titlis.

Lucerne

Lion Monument, a huge figure of a dying hewn from the face of the living rock.

Chapel Bridge

Beside Rosti, another must-try is the CHEESE FONDUE. You can find cheese fondue almost in any restaurants.
It is quite pricey though, about SGD$80?

Verdict: Curiousity fed, wouldn't do it again.

Day 5
Mount Titlis
Today's weather was good, so the tour was not canceled.

Donghua li, the famous gymnast from China discovered a natural statue of Buddha at the peak of Mount Titlis.

one word to describe: SHIOK.

i was feeling uptight on the flyer but this picture didn't show my fear at all.

In Ice Cave

A famous bakery in Switzerland.

Japan's man-made banana.
It is a sponge cake with banana cream filling. You can buy this at the Narita Airport.
I loved how soft the cake feels on hand and the taste is 90% close to the real banana.

Honestly, i don't know what is the english name for this!
From the website,
The fence [tsu] and elegance correct it is in the fence fully inlaying the white sesame black sesame, the cream of black sugar flavor was put fluffily lightly.
I really like the rabbit icon!

The Bottom Line

Let go of worry. Move on with good thoughts, and leave the negative ones behind.

In Detail

You clean your kitchen when it gets messy, you clean your car when the back seat gets cluttered, and you should clean your mind when it gets full of negative things. This isn't a question of ignoring real problems you may be mulling over, it's a question of letting go of worry. There are things you just can't do anything about -- those are the things you have to stop thinking about today. Move on with positive thoughts, and leave the old ones behind.

it's getting so friggin true each single day. Freaking me out...
